People Diss Indian Matchmaking's Sima Taparia For Calling Priyanka & Nick 'Not A Good Match'

Unsolicited opinions and advice aren¡¯t everyone¡¯s cup of tea. Well, most people get cheesed off by it and the latest example of the same is infamous matchmaker of the town Sima Taparia.

Indian matchmaking season 2 dropped a couple of days ago and people are cringe watching it with full dedication. This has obviously given rise to many discussions and debates. The one thing that has managed to incite a full blown ruckus on the internet is Taparia¡¯s comment on Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas¡¯s marriage.

In one of the episodes, she could be heard telling her client Nadia Jagessar that she doesn¡¯t believe Nickyanka¡¯s match to be a good one as she looks much older than her husband and that he looks petite in front of our desi girl. Her comment on their age-gap reeked of societal stereotypes and unnecessary shame.

¡°But I don¡¯t feel it¡¯s a good match. Sorry to tell that. They are just married but it¡¯s not a good match. He looks so small and petite in front of her and she looks elder.¡±

She told her client, ''Two-three years okay, but seven years younger, they'll not be...because they'll have a difference. Matureness is very important. You are more mature because you are seven years elder. So I think we'll drop Vishal,''

To which Nadia said that a guy being more mature than the girl is okay but if the table is turned then that becomes questionable. Sima Taparia agreed and admitted that perhaps she is 'old-fashioned'.

This hasn¡¯t gone down too well with Priyanka and Nick¡¯s fans. They took it upon themselves to school those who are still stuck in the olden times behind the garb of calling themselves ¡®old-fashioned¡¯ including Sima aunty. Scroll!
