Racharikam OTT Release Date: Apsara Rani and Varun Sandesh recently headlined a Telugu political drama, which is finally ready to make its digital debut. Released theatrically on 31st January this year, the film is written and directed by Suresh Lankalapalli. For all the OTT lovers, Racharikam will be streaming on Lionsgate Play starting April 11, 2025.

Racharikam¡¯s plot summary

This is a political drama set in the 1980s in a village in Telangana. It revolves around Bhargavi Reddy (Apsara), her brother Vivek (Varun), and their involvement in local politics. Bhargavi falls in love with Shiva, a leader from a rival faction, which causes tension within her family and the political dynamics of the village. Racharikam explores themes of power, familial loyalty, and the complexities of love.

Other than Apsara and Varun, Racharikam stars Vijay Shankar, Vijay Ram Raju, Esshwar, Srikanth Iyengar, Hyper Aadi and Satish Saripalli among others. Produced by Esshwar under the banner of Chill Bross Entertainment, this Vengi musical is cinematographed by Arya Sai Krishna and edited by JP.

Cinejosh rated the film 2, and a part of their review read, ¡°Racharikam turns out to be a routine political drama in the village backdrop. Director Suresh Lankalapalli showed Apsara Rani not only as a glamor doll but also in a powerful role. He showed powerful villains, but he diluted the lead character after all the buildup, disappointing all.¡±
