Rekhachithram OTT release date: The much-talked-about Malayalam mystery-thriller Rekhachithram is gearing up for its digital debut. Originally released in theatres on January 9, 2025, the film became a box-office success, collecting Rs 55.17 crore in just 35 days. Now, fans who missed it in cinemas can soon watch it from the comfort of their homes. Rekhachithram will premiere on Sony LIV starting March 7, 2025.
Rekhachithram plot summary
Set in Malakkappara, the story follows Vivek, who resumes duty as an SHO and is assigned a puzzling case: the supposed suicide of Rajendran, a man who recently confessed to a crime from decades ago.
As Vivek delves deeper, he uncovers a missing-person case linked to a 1985 film Kathodu Kathoram, directed by Bharathan.
The investigation unfolds into a gripping mystery, challenging Vivek to connect the dots between past and present.

Rekhachithram is directed by Jofin T. Chacko and written by John Manthrikal, based on a story by Ramu Sunil.
The film is produced by Venu Kunnappilly under Kavya Film Company and Ann Mega Media. Mujeeb Majeed composed the soundtrack, while Appu Prabhakar handled cinematography and Shameer Muhammed served as the editor.
The movie stars Asif Ali in the lead role, alongside Anaswara Rajan, Mammootty, Manoj K. Jayan, Unni Lalu, Siddique, Saikumar, Harisree Ashokan, Indrans, Saleema, and many more.
