Rewind OTT Release Date: Sai Ronak and Amrutha Chowdary¡¯s 2024 film is finally gearing up for streaming after a long delay. Written, directed and produced by Kalyan Chakravarthy, the Telugu thriller was released theatrically on 18th October last year. OTT users shall get ready now as Rewind will be releasing on Lionsgate Play starting March 7, 2025.
Rewind¡¯s plot summary
Rewind tells the story of a young man named Karthik (Sai), who is in love with a girl named Shanti (Amrutha). Just when he's about to tell her how he feels, something unexpected happens that turns his life upside down. He stumbles upon a time travel machine, which opens up a whole new world for him.
This machine gives him a chance to change things in his past, present, and future. As he uses it, Karthik faces the tough consequences of his choices and learns about love and regret, all while trying to win Shanti's heart. The movie explores how time travel can affect relationships and life itself.
Rewind¡¯s review
Cinejosh gave a 1.25 rating highlighting the film's shortcomings in delivering on its potential. A part of their review read, ¡°Rewind turns out to be the illogical time travel entertainer. Director Kalyan Chakravarthy's ambitious attempt to blend a romantic love story with the intriguing concept of time travel in Rewind unfortunately falls flat. Despite the promising premise, the execution lacks the necessary finesse to deliver a compelling and engaging cinematic experience.¡±
Other than Sai and Amrutha, Rewind also stars Suresh, Samrat Reddy, Viva Raghav, Abhishek Viswakarma, Jabardast Nagi, Ramu Gandham, Rajesh Vulli, Funbucket Bharath and Neelima Pathakamsetti among others. This Ashirvad Luke musical is cinematographed by Shivaram Charan and edited by Thushara Pala.
