According to the official synopsis, Taparia will assist single millennials all over the world in finding their ideal partner during the third season.
¡°From London to New Delhi, Miami to New York, Sima will manage more expectations than ever before from clients, old and new. Drawing from her decades of experience, insightful intuition and traditional methods, Sima strives to help some lucky singles find their destinies,¡± it read.
In an exclusive interview with Indiatimes, Smriti Mundhra talked about the show getting some negative reactions.
The television show Indian Matchmaking received mixed reviews. Despite being criticised for "enforcing prejudices," some people watched it anyhow. Even some of the show's spectators were offended by what Sima Taparia said.
She said ¡°If you are any kind of filmmaker or artist the greatest aim of your work is to elicit strong reactions. It's great when your work is loved but it is just as valuable when it becomes controversial or debated. No matter at what end of the spectrum people fall, hardly anyone has told me that it's inaccurate. Because of the show, we are actually debating where we are and where we have to be culturally. "
She continued, "If that show becomes a flashpoint and a lens for the same, then it's a great debate to have when it comes to marriage and relationships. That is how culture changes and how we evolve. "
She councluded saying, "If Indian Matchmaking played any role in that, it makes me proud."
Indian Matchmaking season 3 will preview on Netflix.
