Starting 5, an upcoming web series has set the OTT release date. It is a sports series which will feature some of the most well-known and loved NBA players. The show follows five athletes as they strive for greatness, documenting their struggles both on and off the court. It features Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, LeBron James and many others. Starting 5 will be released on Netflix on 9th October 2024.

Plot
The streamer claims that the series follows all five players as they strive for excellence, overcome setbacks, and strike a balance between their obligations to their families and their legacy. In his 21st season, James works harder than ever to maintain his health and dominance, while Edwards electrifies with his quick ascent. Tatum leads the Celtics in their historic 18th title run, Sabonis stabilizes the Kings with his varied play, and Butler drives the Heat.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics make up the Starting 5. The show was produced by James' Uninterrupted in collaboration with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions, Higher Ground Productions, and Barack and Michelle Obama. In 2025, Higher Ground will debut its second sports series on Netflix, after an Olympic men's basketball series was announced.
