The Brutalist: Oscar-nominated film set for India release, check details inside

The Brutalist got nominated for Oscars 2025 a few days ago and fans have been ecstatic ever since. The epic historic drama film was produced and directed by Brady Corbet in 2024. Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, and others are also part of the cast. The film was praised by critics and won awards for its score, cinematography, performances, storyline, and directing. The Brutalist after a long wait is going to be released in India in theaters on 28th February 2025. On December 20, 2024, two months after its US premiere, the movie opens in theaters in India.

What is The Brutalist about?

A visionary architect fleeing postwar Europe travels to America in order to reconstruct his marriage, work, and life. He lives alone in a strange new nation and eventually settles in Pennsylvania, where a well-known and wealthy industrialist notices his potential.

Cast and crew

Brady Corbet, who co-wrote the screenplay with Mona Fastvold, is the producer of The Brutalist. Adrien Brody plays a Holocaust survivor who is Hungarian-Jewish. Alessandro Nivola, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, Isaach de Bankol¨¦, and Felicity Jones are also part of the cast.

With ten Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, the historical drama has received a lot of attention during the 2025 awards season. Felicity was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and Adrien Brody was nominated for Best Actor. In addition, the movie was nominated for Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score, Best Supporting Actor for Guy Pearce, and Best Director for Brady Corbet.
