The Indrani Mukerjea Story, the docu-series that shared different sides of stories of all those directly and indirectly involved in the case, has left fans dumbfounded. The horrifying details of the Sheena Bora murder case have only entangled the case even further rather than solving it. Who is lying and who is telling the truth, it's hard to tell. The documentary has left people with many questions.

While Indrani claims that Sheena's biological father is her own father Upendra Kumar Bora, Upendra and Sheena's brother Mikhail Bora claims that Siddhartha Das is their father.

In fact, her own lawyer at one point the documentary mentioned that Sheena Bora's biological father is Siddhartha Das before he was interrupted and corrected by Indrani.

While Siddhartha didn't appear in the The Indrani Mukerjea Story docu-series, he shared his side of the story earlier. Here's everything you need to know.

"I am ready to go for a DNA test to prove that I am the biological father of both children," he told Times Now in 2015.

Siddhartha Das never married Indrani Mukerjea

In the same interview, he claimed, "I was never married to Indrani Mukerjea, both children were born out of wedlock."

How did Siddhartha Das and Indrani Mukerjea meet? As per a report on Telegraph, Das revealed that they met at a party in 1984 through a common friend. "She was extremely attractive. And in those days, I had many girl followers. We quickly gelled and began meeting more often and soon fell in love," he said.

After that Indrani joined Lady Keane College in Shillong. Once the college was over, they came back to Guwahati and started living together at Indrani's home. They even started a bakery shop in Guwahati. He even lived with Indrani and her parents never had a problem with this. "We used to stay in the same room. We were living in but we never got married," Siddhartha said.

He shared, "I and Indrani first became intimate inside a cinema that was screening Sheena, The Jungle Girl (the 1984 movie was actually titled Sheena: Queen of the Jungle). We loved the movie and the time we spent inside. So we decided that if we had a baby girl, we would name her Sheena," he was quoted as saying. In 1987, Sheena was born so they named her Sheena.

As per Das, Indrani never wanted a second child. However, it was too late for an abortion when Mikhail was born in September 1988.

Why did Indrani Mukerjea leave Siddhartha Das?

As per Das, it was because of his status. "Even while she was in a relationship with me, she used to accept expensive gifts from other men and used to roam around in their cars. We used to have quarrels over it. But she was the one to come up and apologise later and settle the differences. She was frustrated at my poor income and wanted a better lifestyle."

She left him in 1989 saying she was going to Shillong for a job. Five months later, Indrani's parents asked him to leave the house. As per Das, he wanted the custody of the kids, but the Sheena Bora's grandparents never allowed that.

He tried looking for Indrani and managed to finally meet her. She came wearing an expensive dress and oversized shades and told him that she was seeing someone else and was happy with her present life. She asked him to move on.

In 1993, Siddhartha got married to Babli. He was not in touch with Indrani or Sheena. It was 2002 that Sheena Bora called him and said that she wanted to meet him. In 2004, he met him outside her school.

As per PTI, Das, a prosecution witness, told special court judge JC Jagdale during the trial, "Last I called Sheena was on 11 February, 2012 as it was her birthday. Before that, she had called me in 2011 and sought my blessing for her engagement with Rahul. After her birthday in 2012, I never received any call from Sheena."
