The Last of Us season 2, episode 3 was recently released by HBO. While many expected it to receive rave reviews like episode 2 , it has disappointed fans of the game. Here's what Naughty Dog gamers are saying.

The Last Of Us season 2 episode 3: By now, even those who don¡¯t watch The Last of Us probably know what happened in the second episode, because it was so widely talked about. After the devastating episode, people had been wondering what would happen next. While everyone thought episode 3 would also receive the best reviews possible, it now looks like the makers have upset Naughty Dog gamers quite a lot. If we go by what¡¯s being said on social media, fans are clearly upset because of the changes made in the adaptation.
The Last Of Us season 2 episode 3 disappoints fans
Taking to X, players who have been following The Last of Us game are saying that this episode is disrespectful to gamers, and that certain changes from the game should not have been made.
One wrote, ¡°So episode 3 had some changes I didn¡¯t really like. Primarily the time jump of 3 months and Ellie/Dina not following Tommy to Seattle. It kind of sours Ellie¡¯s bloodlust and revenge. Like part of her whole story/downfall is how far she¡¯s willing to go to kill Abby.¡±
Another added, ¡°The scene in the tent should have ended differently and the scale 6 should have been corrected! The changes in episode 1 and 2 were good but in 3 they were NOT.¡±
A third went on to add, ¡°The last of us season 2 episode 3 is 55 minutes of disrespect to the game and its fans.¡±

Because the whole reason Abby finds them at the theater is because Ellie¡¯s interrogation of Owen and Mel fails. She only learns about this technique from finding the bodies Tommy left.
Easily the most unnecessary change in the series
the scene in the tent should have ended differently and the scale 6 should have been corrected!

How is The Last Of Us season 2 episode 3 different from the game?
If you¡¯ve seen the episode, you¡¯ll know that Dina mentions she¡¯s familiar with most of Abby¡¯s crew, and just minutes later, after a conversation with Ellie, she bursts into Ellie¡¯s room with a mapped-out travel plan for their revenge mission. They meet at an abandoned gate at 3 A.M., where Seth arrives with supplies, and they set off on their journey. This sequence marks a significant change from Naughty Dog¡¯s PlayStation game, where Ellie and Dina only leave for Seattle after Tommy secretly sets out alone. Additionally, in the game, Maria allows Ellie and Dina to take supplies on one condition which was to bring her husband back.
By removing this part of the story, the HBO series leaves Tommy¡¯s involvement in Ellie and Dina¡¯s journey somewhat uncertain. Will Tommy come in later? Probably yes but his removal from this bit has particularly triggered a lot of reaction from the game¡¯s fans.
