The teaser ends with Dina pointing a gun at Ellie, suggesting that she may finally discover the truth about Ellie¡¯s immunity.
In The Last of Us Part II game, after Ellie's face mask cracks, Dina finds out about her immunity. In exchange for Ellie revealing the truth while evading the infected, Dina had given her a mask, risking it all. The HBO series however will alter the course of this revelation.
