The Lost Children OTT released date has been set. This film, which was directed by Oscar winner Orlando von Einsiedel and stars Colombian Jorge Dur¨¢n and British-Peruvian Lali Houghton, tells the incredible tale of the Mucutuy siblings' survival and their valiant attempt to return home. The documentary brings together people who were intimately associated with the widely reported incident. The Lost Children will be released on Netflix on 14th November 2024.
Plot
Four Indigenous children, ages thirteen, nine, four, and eleven months¡ªmust endure forty days in the Colombian forest after their mother and the other adults on board are killed in a horrific plane crash. In addition to remarkable archive material, this doc includes first-hand accounts from those who risked their lives to find them, such as the Colombian Army, volunteer Indigenous rescuers, and the children's family. Netflix describes The Lost Children as a compelling thriller that solves the secrets of the Amazon rainforest while honoring human striving, cooperation, and Indigenous knowledge.
