Plot
Transmitzvah is all about the journey of a renowned Yiddish singer who, after so many years of performing across the world, returns to her hometown. The hometown is the place she left as an ambitious teenager; it now remains vivid in her memory. As the singer steps back onto the old streets, memories flood her heart with childhood games with her siblings, the laughter-filled walks to school, and much more.
Amid this reunion, a tragedy strikes when the girl's brother, the one who used to harmonize with her on lullabies as children, loses his voice. The singer named Rivka feels a renewed sense of purpose¡ªto support her brother in finding new ways to express himself and to rekindle the harmony that defined their childhood.
