Viduthalai Part 2 OTT Release Update: This Vijay Sethupathi and Soori starrer Tamil film arrived in theatres on 20th December 2024 and received highly positive reviews. The political thriller is now finally ready for its OTT release. Viduthalai Part 2 is all set to stream on Prime Video from January 19, 2025. To add to the excitement, the makers have added an extra hour of footage just for streaming, making the film a 3-hour and 44-minutes-long saga.
Viduthalai Part 2 plot summary
The story picks up after the police capture Perumal Vaathiyar. We learn about his past, where he started as a teacher and then got involved with communist ideas. Over time, he becomes a leader of a people's movement, fighting for change, and is seen as an outlaw. He marries a fellow activist, Mahalakshmi, and continues to live by his beliefs, standing up for important causes. However, his life takes a turn when he is captured by Kumaresan's team, who have their own plans.
Viduthalai Part 2 cast and crew
Directed and co-produced by Vetrimaaran, this crime thriller also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bhavani Sre, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Chetan and Munnar Ramesh reprise their roles from the first part with seasoned stars like Manju Warrier, Kishore, Anurag Kashyap, Bose Venkat, Vincent Asokan and Ken Karunas joining the cast.
Cinematography by R. Velraj, Viduthalai Part 2¡¯s music was composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja, with R. Ramar handling the editing. It is based on Thunaivan by B. Jeyamohan and produced under the banners of RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company. Red Giant Movies has distributed this actioner worldwide.
