'We Failed Aamir¡¯, Fans Shower Love On Laal Singh Chaddha Post OTT Release, Praise Final Scene
After making a silent debut on OTT on October 5th, Aamir Khan is again trending on the internet but there¡¯s a huge difference - this time around his fans are flocking twitter to express their regrets over not watching the film on the big screen. There¡¯s a possibility that Aamir Khan might be pulling his hair out or celebrating like there¡¯s no tomorrow as things have taken a complete three-sixty degree turn for him.
His film Laal Singh Chaddha might not have enjoyed a bumper opening in the theatres but it has opened to a phenomenal response after its digital release.
After making a silent debut on OTT on October 5th, Aamir Khan is again trending on the internet but this time there¡¯s a huge difference - his fans are flocking twitter to express their regret over not watching the film on the big screen.
There is of course, another side to this. People are still voicing their opinions on how some aspects of the film were tackled but overall, many have reached a similar final standpoint - Laal Singh Chaddha did not deserve the kind of hate that it received.
After watching the film myself, I felt all objections aside, the most problematic thing was Aamir¡¯s character sketch - Laal lacked uniqueness and it played a big part in the film¡¯s downfall because when it comes to Aamir, the expectations are sky-high.
Over the years, he has consistently increased the bar of his performances.
This particular character was nothing but an amalgamation of his previous ones and that did not sit down too well with the audiences.
Other than that, right from the cinematography to the OST, Laal Singh Chaddha scores high in many aspects. Especially, the climax scene which is getting heaps of praises from his fans.
While some are moved by the plot, others are of the opinion that Aamir has acted his best in the entire duration of the climax and that's the strongest suit of the movie.
Twitter is buzzing with fans pouring their love on the film. Check it out:

Laal Singh Chaddha was such a beautifully made film. My favorite movie of all time is Forrest Gump and I can¡¯t believe and amazingly similar the 2 films are. Advait Chandan did a phenomenal job directing this and another outstanding performance by Aamir Khan. #LaalSinghChaddha

He raises the bar so high every time. GOAT
Forrest Gump is one of my all time fav movies but despite that #AamirKhan totally killed it in #LaalSinghChaddha with his classy acting and skills. Last scene made me cry.

But sadly, fools in India don¡¯t really deserve such a fine actor.
Huge praise & respect for the actor Aamir. pic.twitter.com/KD27j8dAA6

Thank you for Laal Singh Chaddha. ? pic.twitter.com/53ZKuzgB8T
We have failed Aamir Khan. Another example of how terrible critics are at their job and how soulless some people who watch movies are.

A personal apology to Aamir Khan for not watching Laal Singh Chaddha in theaters. It truly was a magical and emotional experience watching the movie. I am so sorry Aamir and Thank You for adapting Forrest Gump so well. Honestly I would watch this over Forrest Gump

I really liked this analogy of comparing serious communal riots in the history of India with Malaria in Laal Singh Chaddha.

Forrest Gump is one of the classics, and one of Tom Hanks' best films. Having said that, I think #LaalSinghChaddha did the original movie justice. Heartwarming remake with meaningful message about 'malaria'. Aamir Khan is phenomenal as the titular character. Love "Kahani".

This was a rare case when Indian audiences and critics failed Aamir Khan. It¡¯s not possible to keep you moist-eyed through most of the film without putting up an earnest performance by the lead.

Apart from Aamir, LSC stars Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya and Manav Vij in pivotal roles. It also features Shah Rukh Khan in a special cameo.
The film can be streamed on Netflix.
