Marco OTT Release: Unni Mukundan recently featured in a thrilling action thriller which was received well by both critics and audiences. Having arrived in theatres on December 20, 2024, the Malayalam film has been written and directed by Haneef Adeni. As per a starbyte report, Marco will be available to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Marco's plot summary
Marco is a revenge-driven action drama that follows Marco, who returns from Italy to avenge the murder of his adopted brother Victor. Victor, a blind man, identifies his killer, Russell Issac, before being killed in a brutal attack. Marco sets out to seek revenge on Russell, his father Tony, and others involved in the conspiracy, leading to a violent confrontation.
Marco faces multiple betrayals and losses, including the death of his family at the hands of Russell and his brother Cyrus. In a final showdown, Marco kills Russell and Cyrus, rescues a kidnapped child, and fulfils his vow of vengeance. However, the story ends with a hint of further conflict, suggesting a possible sequel.

Produced by Shareef Muhammed and co-produced by Unni Mukundan Films, Marco is the spinoff of the 2019 film Mikhael. It has been cinematographed by Chandru Selvaraj, edited by Shameer Muhammed and composed by Ravi Basrur. Marco has become the highest-grossing A-rated Malayalam film of all time surpassing Kammatipaadam (2016).
