According to Radiotimes, Only Murders in the Building season 5 should be available in August 2025, based on the trend. Subsequent seasons have aired a year later since season 1 debuted in August 2021.

Only Murders in the Building season 5 plot
According to People magazine, season 5 will probably investigate Lester's death while also exploring themes of past vs contemporary New York, even if the show's creators have not yet disclosed the plot. Co-creator John Hoffman told Deadline in October 2024.
In an interview that same month, he went into further detail, stressing that the objective for season 5 is to "tell a particular kind of take from a New York angle."
