What is Women in Blue about?
As per AppleTV+, Women in Blue, which is set in 1970 and is based on true events, is the story of four women who join Mexico's first female police department against the will of their ultraconservative society only to find out later that the force is a publicity hoax designed to divert spotlight away from a brutal serial killer. A hidden investigation is launched by Mar¨ªa (B¨¢rbara Mori), a young rebel, ?ngeles (Ximena Sari?ana), Gabina (Amorita Rasgado), whose father is a renowned police officer, and Valentina (Natalia T¨¦llez) to do what only a single male officer has been able to do: get the serial killer to justice.
