Aashiqui Actor Rahul Roy Suffers Brain Stroke During Film Shoot In Kargil, Rushed To Hospital
It¡¯s indeed the bad news, Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy who was shooting for his film LAC- Live The Battle In Kargil suffered a brain stroke and was rushed to Nanavati hospital.
Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy who was shooting for his film LAC- Live The Battle In Kargil suffered a brain stroke and was rushed to Nanavati hospital. As per reports in Indian Express, "It was extreme weather conditions that caused the stroke. He was rushed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to the Nanavati Hospital¡±.
The 52-year old actor couldn¡¯t resist the cold weather and due to that he suffered a brain stroke. His brother Romeer Roy has confirmed the news of him being admitted to the hospital and has even said he¡¯s recovering.
Apart from Rahul, the film also stars former Bigg Boss 14 contestant Nishant Singh Malkani, The film is helmed by Nitish Kumar Gupta and is being co produced by Chitra Vakil Sharma and Nivedita Basu.
Rahul plays the role of a colonel in the film while Nishant is the lead. The entire crew of the film was shooting in Kargil as it was a 17-day shoot. They reportedly had two more days left when Rahul¡¯s health deteriorated.
Nishant in an interview with DNA narrated the incident of Rahul's brain stroke due to weather in Kargil,
"Rahul was a bit dull on Tuesday initially, and we suddenly observed that he was not able to deliver his dialogues. He was not forgetting them but he was groping for words to complete sentences, he just could not form sentences. Then, around evening, he started to behave little unusually, idhar udhar dekhne laga and we strongly sensed that something was wrong."
Rahul Roy became an overnight star with musical film Aashiqui. However, his struggle started after he became successful. He didn¡¯t see fame post that. He also participated in Bigg Boss season one and was the winner of the show.
