Baby John box office collection day 3: Varun Dhawan¡¯s Baby John, a remake of the Vijay-led Theri, isn¡¯t doing too well at the domestic box office. It collected merely Rs 3.6 crore on its third day. The film hit the screens on December 25.
Baby John box office collection day 3: Varun Dhawan¡¯s Baby John, which hit the screens on December 25, opened to a good response at the Indian box office and netted Rs 11.25 crore on the first day. It then witnessed a massive drop on its first Thursday (December 26). The actioner had an equally underwhelming third day as it failed to woo the audience because of the mixed word-of-mouth.
Baby John has a mediocre third day
Baby John, a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Theri, is struggling at the Indian box office. According to Sacnilk, the Atlee-backed film netted merely Rs 3.59 crore on its third day. This is nearly 24% lower than the Rs 4.75 crore it made on December 26, its second day. Baby John faced stiff competition from Pushpa 2, which hit the screens on December 5 and is still the top choice of the masses especially in Hindi.
Here is the day-wise box office report for the film:
Day 1: Rs 11.25 crore
Day 2: Rs 4.75 crore
Day 3: Rs 3.59 crore
Its total collection stands at nearly Rs 20 crore. Baby John needs to witness significant growth today (December 28) and tomorrow (December 29) in order to make up for the lacklustre opening. This, however, is easier said than done because the word-of-mouth is not too impressive.
