People Want To Buy Sushant Singh Rajput¡¯s Apartment Rather Than Renting It, Reveals Broker
SSR's Bandra apartment which was struggling to get tenants for a long time has now multiple buyers but the owner isn't in the mood to sell it.
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away in his Bandra apartment on 14th June 2020. Ever since then his place is put up for rent and even after 2.5 years, the broker hasn¡¯t found any tenant. Earlier it was reported that people are skipping the bid because it is too pricey and holds a history of death, but now there are new developments.
Real Estate Agent Rafique Merchant who is responsible to find a tenant for SSR¡¯s apartment has now unfolded some new angles.
Speaking to ETimes Rafique revealed, "Time and pricing are the key factors. The prices are more compatible than the others. If the house is redone completely then it becomes easy. I have managed to sell a couple of houses like this earlier also. Times have changed now. And people are coming to see the apartments."

"If the rent is reduced to a reasonable price, then it will be a done deal¡±, he said adding that out of the blue buyers are more interested than tenants in SSR¡¯s lived property. He says, "Surprisingly, I am getting a lot of calls from buyers. They want to buy the apartment outright. There are a lot of investors who want to buy it. But the owner just doesn¡¯t want to sell it."
He further said, "The house will be in the news as long as it is vacant. Once it is rented out, there won¡¯t be any talks about it. A lot of people are coming and checking the house because the inspections are on."
Rafique in an earlier interview talked about the apprehensions of the property owner who is an NRI.
He told Bollywood Hungama, ¡°I also offered to make a video of the flat but the owner was concerned. Hence, I uploaded only the photographs and made a video out of it.¡± Merchant also shared, ¡°The owner doesn¡¯t want to rent out the flat to a film celeb, no matter who or how big he or she is. He¡¯s clear that he wants to hand over the flat to a corporate person.¡±
For the unversed, the property is located on the sixth floor of the Mont Blanc building in Bandra West, Mumbai. It is a sea-facing duplex consisting of 4BHK and a terrace. Reportedly, Sushant moved into this 3,600-sq ft apartment in December 2019 and used to pay Rs. 4.51 lakhs per month for this.
