The love story of KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty began way back in time.
Rahul and Athiya started dating a few years back but made it official last year only. The family will host a reception after IPL will conclude later this year in Mumbai. On the work front, Athiya debuted in Bollywood with Hero and went on to star in films like Mubarakan, Nawabzaade and Motichoor Chaknachoor.
Athiya who is yet to give a big break in Bollywood recently reacted to how she perceived trolls on social media.
She told IDiva, ¡°I just don¡¯t take myself or anyone else seriously on social media. It¡¯s a great platform when you want to voice something or spread awareness. But it has never impacted me negatively. Even if you are looking at a troll or a negative comment, it¡¯s just one human being sitting behind a screen, typing their insecurities. If someone¡¯s leaving a bad comment, it has everything to do with them because that¡¯s how they are. It¡¯s not a ¡®me¡¯ problem.¡±
Talking about the best thing Shetty loved about cinema, Athiya told, ¡°For me, the best thing about filmmaking is being on set. It¡¯s an entirely different world where you are immersed in a character, and that process is exciting because there are so many people who are all passionate about their jobs, about telling a story.¡±
Athiya also talked about what Bollywood still lacks and said, ¡°We have come a long way in terms of recognising issues but we haven¡¯t achieved even two percent of what needs to be done. There are so many people whose voices do matter and they are speaking about the importance of pay parity and inclusivity. It¡¯s a process and only together can we make it happen.¡±
