Protestors Gather Outside SRK's Mannat Over Actor's Misleading Online Game Ad, Police Deployed
Mumbai police have been deployed and have started detaining people from outside Mannat as they protest against SRK's gaming ad.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is a highly influential personality and if he is promoting any product or service, there¡¯s no doubt people will buy it. This comes with a responsibility to be mindful of what he is endorsing. A group of people with the same concern reached the actor¡¯s residence in protest.
On Saturday afternoon, several people gathered outside Mannat to protest against SRK endorsing online gaming apps.
They claimed that these apps corrupt and misguide the minds of youth and that celebs should avoid promoting them. Leading the conversation were protestors from Untouch Youth Foundation who are all set to hold a protest against online gaming apps like Junglee Rummy, Zupee and others.
As accessed by Free Press Journal, the official statement that led to the protest read, "Famous actors and actresses work in these advertisements and they are working towards misguiding the society. The protest will be held outside Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat bungalow on behalf of Untouch India Foundation."

Krishchandra Adal, the President of Untouch India Foundation stated, "The new generation is involved in playing Junglee rummy. If someone is playing Junglee rummy or gambling outside, the police arrest them, but big Bollywood stars promoting online games are misleading the young generation.¡±
¡°The Bollywood stars also know it is wrong, but they are getting money so they are promoting them. We make these stars famous by watching their movies and spending our money on them. We demand these advertisements to stop. These apps are illegal, we can not find them on Google, but these apps are uploaded on private websites."

SRK is a brand ambassador for an online rummy portal named A23 Games.
In its commercial, SRK says the tagline, "Chalo Saath Khelein". Coming back to his work front, Shah Rukh will soon be seen in Atlee¡¯s Jawan which will arrive on 7th September. The film has an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and others.
Further, he has Rajkummar Hirani¡¯s Dunki in his kitty which will be released in the Christmas week. Earlier this year, SRK was seen in his blockbuster flick - Pathaan.
