Makeup Brand Brightens Up Suhana Khan¡¯s Dusky Skin For A Commercial, Leaves Internet Outraged
As Suhana Khan's latest pictures from her make-up commercial go viral, fans are upset over the brightening of the actress' skin.
Suhana Khan, the eldest daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is all set to make her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar¡¯s The Archies. Ahead of her film, Suhana has started bagging several other projects. Among these, becoming the face of the make-up brand Maybelline New York remains her biggest stint.

Recently, one of the pictures from her product shoot surfaced on the internet and it features a differently-looking Suhana Khan.
Suhana who is born beautiful and confident in her dusky skin tone was allegedly brightened in the product advertisement. For a country like India which embraces people from all colours and shades, this move wasn¡¯t didn't go down too well. Several users took to Reddit and slammed the brand for ¡®colour-correcting¡¯ Suhana¡¯s skin tone.
Her picture was shared on Reddit with the caption, "Suhana Khan colour corrected pro max. She looks Ankita Lokhande."
Replying to this, one user wrote "They could have easily found a shade as per Suhana's actual dusky colour tone. That's the whole point of a credible international makeup brand that they are inclusive, isn't it?". Another said, "Why did the brand apply pancake makeup to Suhana's dusky face? It's not flattering."

Suhana¡¯s upcoming ¡®The Archies¡¯ is a direct-to-digital release which will arrive on Netflix later this year.
This teen-musical comedy will also mark the debut of Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda and Boney Kapoor's daughter Khushi Kapoor. It will also feature actors Mihir Ahuja, Aditi "Dot" Saigal, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina in pivotal roles. The Archies draw inspiration from a popular comic by the same name.

Several media reports suggest that the duo fell for each other during the shoot of The Archies. A source close to Hindustan Times revealed, "They would spend a lot of time together and were not even trying to hide their bond. While they don¡¯t plan to make it official yet, most people in the production house learnt about their bond in August 2022.¡±
¡°Agastya introduced Suhana as his partner to all the family members.¡±
