Swara Bhasker Criticises Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's DDLJ, Says ¡®It Makes Stalking Seem Romantic¡¯
Everyone is celebrating Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge as it completes 25 years. It¡¯s a cult romantic film and every girl¡¯s dream boy is Raj and every girl wants to be a Simran for him. However in 2020, not many are happy with DDLJ being called the most romantic film instead they are picking out the film and calling it problematic.

However in 2020, not many are happy with DDLJ being called the most romantic film, instead they are picking on the film and calling it problematic and are even questioning, "Why Do Women Love Creeps?"
One Twitter user shared his problems with the film and SRK¡¯s character. He wrote, ¡°Raj does the following to Simran: 1. Lie that he raped her as a joke 2. Tears her clothes in public (accidentally, but who pulls a woman by the back of her dress anyway?) 3. Forces her to dance, and in the process gropes her and feels up her bare back Why do women love creeps?¡±.

While Swara agreed to the Twitter user and replied to him,
¡°Sadly u r are right.. I mean abt what all Raj does.. This is precisely the power of #Bollywood right? It makes stalking seem romantic. And we all are influenced by it - sometimes in the form of nostalgia & sometimes despite our own best intent. We all need to learn & change :) :)¡±.

Swara herself was in a film that promoted stalking and that¡¯s Raanjhana, the actress is quite aware of the mistake as she mentioned that we all need to learn.
Apart from Swara, even Abhay Deol who was a part of it had once lashed out at the film for promoting stalking.
Clearly, the audiences have become much more aware and smarter especially about what content they are watching.
