¡®Inspiring¡¯: Netizens Back Rakul Preet¡¯s Chhatriwali Trailer For Dealing Sex Education With Fun
The trailer of Rakul Preet Singh starrer Chhatriwali is out now. The internet has reacted and is hopeful that film will bring a change.

Filled with such dialogues and drama that hits hard on the taboo around sex education, the trailer of Chhatriwali is out now. Sailed by actress Rakul Preet Singh, the film also stars Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik, Dolly Ahluwalia and Rajesh Tailang in pivotal roles. The trailer which was released recently is garnering a lot of attention.

Directed by Tejas Deoskar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Chhatriwali will see an OTT release on 20th January.
As per the makers, the film aims to drive home a strong social message on the importance of male contraceptives and safe sex. Set in Haryana, the movie features Rakul Preet Singh in the role of a quality control head in a condom factory who turns into a sex educator for the school students.

Sharing the trailer of this Zee5 film, Rakul wrote on her Instagram, ¡°Agar sex education ki padhai reh gayi ho adhoori, toh aa rahi hai #Chhatriwali usse karne poori!¡± For the unversed, this is not the first time that Rakul has touched on such an out-of-box topic. As soon as the trailer of Chhatriwali was released, several users took to Twitter and shared their thoughts.

Rakul in an official statement called this film a dream project and aims to leave an impact on the issues surrounding unsafe sex.
The 32-year-old actress said, ¡°'Chhatriwali' was that dream project where it checked all the boxes and now with the trailer out, I hope that our hard work pays off as this film deserves special attention and credit. In today's patriarchal society, every household needs a Sanya who holds the courage to single-handedly fight against all odds, traditions, social norms, and barriers.¡±
¡°I hope this character inspires others to find their voice and speak up against unsafe sex and the many health implications of not using protection. India's youth make up for the majority of the population and educating them on safe sex and sex education is the need of the hour, so I am glad that Chhatriwali is catering to them and everyone else in a progressive and entertaining manner,'' she added.
