1. Band Baaja Baraat (2010)
For Band Baaja Baraat, Ranvir made 'Beach Body'. He invested three months to get into a perfect shape. He was seen sporting t-shirts in major parts of the film and he wanted to look perfect.
2. Lootera (2013)
For Lootera, Ranveer Singh's method-acting left the crew in shock.
Phantom Films
"In one of the sequences of Lootera, the actor was supposed to be in pain. He asked for a safety pin and repeatedly pierced himself while giving this particular shot," said a source.
"The director and the unit members were dead against it, but Ranveer's argument was that it is a really poignant scene and every stab of pain was enhancing his performance. When the team saw the performance on the edit table, they were sure it would touch the hearts of the audiences," the source added.
3. Ram Leela (2013)
Ramleela was all about Ranveer¡¯s chiseled body. Ranveer's fitness trainer Lloyd Stevens revealed all about his workout routine, diet, training method.
He said, "Originally, it was supposed to be within a 12-week period. However, thanks to the hard work he put in, we actually managed to achieve the look he required in just 6 weeks. From there onwards it was simply a matter maintaining his current physique.
Talking about Ranveer's transformation, his trainer added,
Yes, Ranveer certainly had a decent physique during his first film; however, he suffered from a severe back injury whilst filming Lootera which put him out of action for several months so he was unable to train. This had an unfortunate effect on his physique leaving him out of the required shape he needed for Ramleela. When I arrived in Mumbai, we agreed that it was time to take Ranveer¡¯s physique to a new level which he had never experienced before and because of the hard work put in, the results were outstanding as you can see.
4. Bajirao Mastani (2015)
Ranveer locked himself in a hotel room for three weeks so that he could focus completely on building the character of Peshwa Bajirao I. He shaved off his head as that was the basic requirement to look like Bajirao.
The actor watched several Marathi movies to get his Marathi accent for the role right. He also watched Russell Crowe-starrer "Gladiator" to understand how epic films with a mammoth scale are made. He learned production methods that are involved in shooting with a large crew and animals.
He especially worked on the tone of his voice and made it heavier to suit the character of the powerful personality like Bajirao. Ranveer spent a lot of time researching and reading up about Peshwa Bajirao so that he could understand the kind of the person he was.
There were no specific readings or workshops before the start of the film, so Ranveer self-taught him and went with the flow.
5. Befikre (2016)
While Ranveer Singh was forgettable in this film, his abs were not. He got the perfect abs.
For Befikre, Ranveer Singh had to beef up with the help of his trainer Lloyd Stevens.
Stevens took to Twitter to share the actor¡¯s new bulked up look.

6. Padmaavat (2018)
According to reports, Bandra boy Ranveer Singh had moved into an apartment close to Film City (Goregaon East), nearer to where the film was being shot. That saved him a ton of travel time of course, but it also gave him the alone time he needed to prepare for his role.
Khilji is known to be one of the most powerful and ruthless rulers of all time. We hear that Ranveer had limited himself to meeting and interacting only with Bhansali, his assistant, his personal trainer and a few key members of the film¡¯s crew, in his effort to immerse himself in Khilji¡¯s psyche.Talking about the role, Ranveer added,
"I put myself under house arrest for almost a month while I was readying myself to play Alauddin Khilji. I don¡¯t wish to reveal the exact details of my preparation [for the role] as it is something that¡¯s extremely personal. But what I can say is that the entire journey has been a discovery of sorts that involved lots of exploration. It has been extremely rewarding and gratifying."
He also spoke about the whole make-up procedure that was tedious. He added,
"The shooting process was non-stop. I would put on the make-up for two hours and shoot for 12-14 hours straight and repeat it the next day. I lost touch with myself. I realized that something was wrong. I had become uneasy, unstable. So I first confided in my mother and my best friend. They started spending time with me after the shoot. They brought me back to myself. I was lucky to have that kind of support."
7. Gully Boy
Ranveer had to again go for a dramatic transformation for the preparation of his film Gully Boy.
Instead of bulking up and developing an eight-pack, Ranveer had to lose a tremendous amount of weight for the film to get into the character and reflect the lives of underground Mumbai rappers.
Apart from the physical transformation, Ranveer was also spotted attending numerous workshops to interact with real-life street rappers.
8. Simbaa
Ranveer Singh is a fitness champ and give him any damn role, he knows how to slip in comfortably.
He had to shrink his physique for Gully Boy after "Padmaavat," and now the actor is bulking up for his film Simmba and "putting on some decent muscle mass. Fitness instructor Lloyd Stevens is training Ranveer in Hyderabad's Ramoji film City, where the first leg of the film's shoot has already begun. Lloyd Stevens even posted a picture of Ranveer working out on his triceps
