Aaliyah Kashyap Gets Support from Kalki Koechlin & Khushi Kapoor Post Receiving Rape Threats

"The past few weeks have been really hard on my mental health. Ever since I posted a photo of me in lingerie, I have been getting the vile, degrading and disgusting comments," reads the note.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's daughter Aaliyah has been a victim of online sexual assault only because she posted photos in her lingerie.
Detailing her entire experience of not only being trolled but called all sorts of derogatory names, abuses, and tags, Aaliyah posted a moving note. "The past few weeks have been really hard on my mental health. Ever since I posted a photo of me in lingerie, I have been getting the vile, degrading and disgusting comments," reads the note.
Aaliyah further opens up about contemplating whether to ignore these comments or just delete her profile on Instagram after receiving rape threats.
"I have never felt more frightened than I have in the past few weeks to the point where I considered deleting my Instagram. I have tried to ignore the harassment and shrug it off but the truth is that we need to speak about it because this kind of comments contribute to the rape culture that affects all women in India (and the rest of the world) in one way or the other," Aaliyah wrote.
Once Aaliyah posted this note, her friends and celebrities took over the comments section to praise her bravery in calling out these harassers.
Alaviaa Jaaferi and Alanna Panday dropped heart emojis, while Khushi Kapoor wrote, "I love you. I¡¯m proud of you." Actor Kalki Koechlin commented, "Proud of you for sharing this."
Can we please let our women just be? If you don't like what someone posts, it's better to not engage or view their content instead of demeaning them for their choices.
