Aditi Rao Hydari Talks About Being Molested At 15 & How She Taught Her Molester An Epic Lesson
Getting molested at a tender age scars you for life. Majority of the girls or women, boys or men have had this horrifying experience.
Getting molested is emotionally distressing, and experiencing the horror at a tender age can leave deep scars that last a lifetime. What makes matters worse is not enough victims talk about the topic, unfortunately.
Therefore, it's a testament to our Bollywood actresses, who've boldly spoken about this social evil without mincing any words. In a recent interview, Sonam Kapoor had made headlines when she openly spoke about being molested. And now, the Bhoomi actress Aditi Rao Hydari has revealed about her being molested at the age of 15.
In an exclusive conversation, Aditi recalls how she was petrified when she was touched by a stranger in a temple.
"I was 15 and we were in Kerala to visit a temple where wearing a saree was compulsory. We all wore sarees and were waiting in the temple queue for darshan. That's when I felt somebody¡¯s hand on my stomach, and it happened three-four times.
I turned back and held his hand and slapped him so hard, leaving the guy scared. He started saying ¡®what, what?' but I gave him an earful that he will remember for the rest of his life."
Kudos to Aditi and all our girls who are showing the courage to fight against this despicable crime.
