Rs 100 Crore Case On Poonam Pandey
Poonam Pandey and Sam Bombay are reportedly facing a defamation lawsuit for Rs 100 crore brought by Faizan Ansari, who filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the Kanpur Police Commissioner. Ansari alleges that Pandey and Bombay planned to stage her death in order to downplay the severity of her cancer and to manipulate people's feelings and confidence, especially in the Bollywood sector. He further asked to have them both taken into custody and produced before the Kanpur court.
As per Pinkvilla, the FIR mentioned, "Poonam Pandey and her husband Sam Bombay conspired to stage her death, making a mockery of a serious illness like cancer. Poonam Pandey orchestrated this stunt for her personal publicity, betraying the trust of millions of Indians and the entire Bollywood industry."

For those who don't know, it all began on February 2nd when Poonam Pandey's team announced her passing on multiple social media sites, citing cervical cancer as the cause. The statement expressed sincere grief for the loss and asked for privacy while they grieved. A lot of celebs like Kangana Ranaut and other TV stars started to Tweet and post about how much they will miss Poonam. Later to everyone¡¯s shock, Poonam revealed in a video that it was a stunt for a cervical cancer awareness campaign.
The post read, ¡°This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.¡±
