A Sequel To Dia Mirza-R. Madhavan's 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein' In Works, Claim Reports

After making Bollywood lovers wait for close to two decades, makers may have finally given in to the temptation of working on a Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001) sequel.

Starring Dia Mirza and R.Madhavan in lead roles, the film gradually gained a cult status. From its music to Dia and Madhavan's on-screen chemistry, fans somehow haven't gotten over the film at all.

The makers of RHTDM had expressed their interest around working on a sequel many times over the years and looks like prayers of millions of fans are close to being answered now.

According to a Mid-Day report, makers have almost locked a script and have also gotten in touch with the actors to reprise their roles. The report quotes a source as saying,

"The makers toyed with some concepts, on and off, over the years. Only now have they found a script that has appealed to everyone and seems a natural progression to the lives of Maddy and Reena [the characters essayed by Madhavan and Mirza respectively]. The script is in the final stage of development."

The report hints that the storyline of the sequel will explore Reena and Maddy's post-marital journey and how disillusionment starts to replace love in their marriage.

The storyline will further explore their attempt to revive their relationship. Just to jog your memory a little, Dia Mirza, who played Reena in the film released in 2001 had dropped a hint of a sequel last month during a live chat.
