Akshay Kumar calls for revision of history books
In a conversation with CNN News18 Akshay Kumar said that numerous aspects of history are not discussed in books and that he intends to play parts that explore untold tales and showcase unsung heroes. Speaking about his deliberate choice of these parts, he emphasised his wish to elevate these lesser-known stories. He said that history books need to be corrected because they frequently highlight the lives of local heroes while ignoring those like Akbar and Aurangzeb. Akshay underlined the value of telling the stories of people who have received honours like the Param Veer Chakra to the next generation and the necessity of shedding light on them.
