'Hurts To See This': Akshay Kumar Condemns Richa Chadha's 'Galwan Says Hi' Tweet
Richa Chadha who publicly insulted the martyrs of the Galwan clash has now been served a backlash from actor Akshay Kumar as he's hurt by her mockery.
Bollywood actress Richa Chadha became the eye of the storm after she commented about the armed forces and angered many people on Twitter. However, later, following the outrage, she deleted the tweet.
Richa had no idea about the uproar on social media and was informed in the morning.
She deleted the controversial tweet and posted, "Just received a call, had muted replies, so had no idea¡bye all".
However, the damage cannot be undone, it seems. Many people, including politicians, have slammed her, calling her apology a "forced one." The latest celebrity to join the bandwagon is Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar reacted to the controversy and reminded Richa that "We are because of them".
She had mocked him by saying, ¡®Galwan says hi¡¯. Her tweet came about the June 2020¡¯s Galwan clash incident that made us lose 20 brave soldiers of our country.
Sharing the screenshot of the controversial tweet, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Hurts to see this. Nothing ever should make us ungrateful towards our armed forces. Woh hain toh aaj hum hain." For the unversed, Akshay has done several films based on the storylines of police and the Army including Airlift and Kesari.

Although Richa issued a public apology for the same, it didn¡¯t go well with filmmaker Ashoke Pandit. He claimed he'll file a police complaint against her.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also spoke to Republic TV and condemned Richa¡¯s hurtful words. He said,
"This is a strength of the people of this nation. This is the same Richa Chadha who was some time back mocking Galwan martyrs, and now suddenly she remembers her entire relatives who had served in the Army. We respect all her family members who were in the Indian Army and served our country.¡±
¡°But this doesn't give the person the right to mock the soldiers if their family members were part of the Armed forces or belittle the country's proud history. Especially by disrespecting and insulting our martyred Bravehearts. I am happy that the citizens of our country forced Richa Chadha to apologize. She just wanted to create this controversy to stay irrelevant. She has not apologized but Indian citizens have forced her," he added.

When asked why Bollywood decided to stay mum on this incident, Sirsa said, "These people are hypocrites as they live fake lives. They just talk about patriotism and the Army in their films because they are getting money. If there is no money, they will forget patriotism."
¡°We have never seen, when it comes to the nation, Bollywood has ever stood up, but people like Aamir Khan will make comments when they have to say anything against it. They don't have the courage to say they will boycott the person who will make any remark against the Indian Army. They are only loyal to money, not the nation," he concluded.
Earlier today, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit also slammed the Fukrey actress.
