When it come to giving respect to Jawans or extending monetary help, Akshay Kumar has always set a benchmark for others to follow. We have seen him going out of his way extending a helping hand to families of jawans. And now as the country is all set to celebrate 68th Republic Day on January 26, Akshay has shared another heartfelt video, where he has pitched a unique and a genuine way to help the men in uniform and their families.
In the video, that Akshay has shared on social media, he has proposed to start a website or mobile app to assist soldiers financially. In the video, he says,
¡°This idea is directly from my heart. May be it is useless or can be a big hit. We should have a mobile app or a website, which connects the family members of a martyr soldier with someone who want to donate money. If a soldier of the Indian Armed forces dies on duty, then a verified account number of his family member would reflect on that site the very next day. It will also show the financial status of the soldier¡¯s family.¡±
He adds,
¡°The name of martyrs along with their bank account numbers will be listed on this website. If you want to help that jawan financially, you can directly donate a sum into their accounts. That account number will be deleted once the total deposited money accounts to Rs 15 lakh. In this way, family members of the jawan can directly use that money."
Since the idea is raw and still at a planning stage, Akshay has shared the video on social media platforms so that he could get inputs from the citizens. In the video, he adds that he will go ahead and start this website or app with the permission of armed forces and assistance of government.
According to him, this gesture and assistance from people will be the biggest salute to our men in uniform on January 26 and we certainly would like to agree. Watch the complete video here.
