Amitabh Bachchan On Getting Abusive Comments On Social Media, 'I Think A Lot Before Posting'
Amitabh Bachchan reveals he thinks a lot before posting anything on social media.
Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is busy entertaining his audience with the latest season of Kaun banega Crorepati, a show that keeps lakhs of people glued to their TV screens.
Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B is 79 years old and a megastar, who is not only one of the busiest actors in showbiz but also one of the most active celebrities on social media platforms.
During one of the episodes of his popular quiz game show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 14', Amitabh Bachchan opened up about social media trolls and receiving hate comments.
While playing the game, Big B asked a contestant (Samit Sharma from Mumbai) sitting opposite him on the hotseat if he is on social media. As the contestant admits he is, Amitabh Bachchan shares how he began using social media platforms.
¡°I was told about blogging and started writing blogs. I don¡¯t understand these things at all. At times, I get trolled about images or captions. They give gaalis (abuses). I didn¡¯t know that people also comment on pictures that you post. They write, ¡®Kya samajhta hai apne aap ko¡¯ and many other things that I can¡¯t say. I have to think a lot before posting anything,¡± actor Amitabh Bachchan said.
The actor also recalled a funny incident related with India's PM Narendra Modi during the show.
¡°It was a huge meal - a political level one, where prime ministers were in attendance. The prime minister of Japan was visiting India and after the meal, the finger bowl came, with rose petals. The guest thought it was a dish and he drank it. To avoid any embarrassment to the guest, our PM also drank it," the actor was quoted as saying.
Recently, a contestant named Dhulichand Agarwal, known to be a professor at a college in Durg in Madhya Pradesh graced the hot seat opposite Amitabh Bachchan on August 8 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. Dhulichand was the first contestant to feature on the show.
The 62-year-old contestant revealed that Amitabh Bachchan owes him Rs. 10 since 1970 and shared an interesting story.
Soon after, Big B gave Dhulichand a twenty rupees (Rs 20) note and stated, ¡®with added interest¡¯.
More on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to be seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's upcoming film Brahmastra. Big B is playing a key role in the film directed by Ayan Mukerji.
