Anurag Kashyap Thinks SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' Has 99 Percent Chance Of Getting Nominated At Oscars
Anurag Kashyap thinks Hollywood finds SS Rajamouli's RRR better than any Marvel movie and the film has a 99 percent chance of getting nominated at the Oscars.
It won't be wrong to say that SS Rajamouli's RRR is a bigger hit than Baahubali. The movie has won praises from critics and audiences alike in the west, and it continues to garner love and appreciation. From Guardians of Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn to Baby Driver director Edgar Wright, everyone is in awe of the larger-than-life movie.

Hollywood's reputed magazine Variety has included the movie in its Oscar prediction list under Best Film category. Not just the film, the magazine has also listed RRR stars Jr NTR under Best Actor category. Will the film bag a nomination at the Oscars? Well, only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Bollywood's ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap thinks that the movie has 99 percent chance of bagging a nomination at the Oscars.

"The west sees RRR differently than what we see, and they have loved RRR. If RRR becomes India's selection, 99% it might get nominated at the Academy Award. That's the impact RRR has had on the world of Hollywood," Kashyap was quoted as saying by Galatta Plus.

Furthermore, Anurag Kashyap added, "I am speaking from what people have been reaching out to me and talking about in the West. They have discovered a new filmmaker called Rajamouli with RRR. How Everything Everywhere All At Once worked for me, RRR has worked for them. And they find it better than any other Marvel movie".

The Gangs Of Wasseypur filmmaker said that people are not only blown away by the action scene but they are also bowled over by the dance sequences in the movie.
"They are not just blown by the action sequence. They are blown by the dance sequence too. And dance sequence, which I think is one of the most energetic choreography done in the longest time. And that has hit them very hard, they are loving it. RRR has become the go-to film in the USA."

Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap's next film is Dobaaraa, a mystery thriller that stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. The duo is collaborating for the second time after Manmarziyaan. The film is slated to be released on Aug 19.
