Anurag Kashyap, who recently directed Taapsee Pannu in the film Dobaara, is reportedly in talks to portray Vijay Mallya in an upcoming movie, which is going to be directed by Karthik K.
Reportedly, Karthik K is making his directorial debut against the backdrop of economic fugitives such as Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi, and Vijay Mallya.
Moreover, it has been learned that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap might be seen playing Vijay Mallya in the upcoming film and the makers are currently in discussion regarding the project with the director.
Interestingly, Anurag Kashyap will be getting a prosthetic makeover to transform into the character of businessman Mallya on screen, as reported by Pinkvilla.
Also, the director wishes to make the movie on a grand scale and Vijay Mallya is likely to be presented with complete flamboyance onscreen. The movie will showcase charters, parties, and controversies that will make up for a spicy and engaging story.
If reports are to be believed, other important stakeholders in Vijay Mallya's life will be locked very soon. For the unversed, Karthik K has experience working as an associate director in films such as Aparichit, Shivaji, and 2.0, which were helmed by filmmaker S. Shankar.
Moreover, it has been said that the film which is likely to showcase Anurag Kashyap in a new character, will go on floors from the 20th of this month in Mumbai. The film will also be shot in the United Kingdom and various other European countries.
According to further reports, the film will focus on Vijay Mallya's controversial life and showcase his lifestyle after fleeing India. In the upcoming movie, Mallya¡¯s character will be shown living a king-size life with models surrounding him, expensive parties, high-end cars, and much more.
