AP Dhillon Breaks Silence On Guitar Breaking Controversy At Coachella 2024
AP posted a video of him smashing his guitar on Instagram. He also shared a still from his performance, in which the words "Justice for Sidhu Moosewala" appeared in the background. He included a video clip of an international musician smashing his guitar live in another slide.
In the caption, AP wrote, ¡°The media is controlled and I¡¯m out of control.¡±
Reacting to this, people continued to slam him saying that breaking the guitar is not justified and does not make him ¡®cool¡¯.
One wrote, ¡°Guitar todke cool bangya?? Guitar todke sabki nazro m agya aur hate ko cover krne ke liye #justiceforsidhumoosewala bhi likhvadiya.¡±
A second added, ¡°why are we distroying guitars.¡±
A third went on to add, ¡°Didnt like guitar breaking act .¡±
Rahul Vaidya Slams AP Dhillon
¡°Unfortunate behaviour! In our culture we are taught to worship stage and musical instruments.. and this Punjabi artist who hails from Punjab is copying this old western style of breaking guitars on stage! Sad. AP don¡¯t forget your roots brother!¡±Rahul Vaidya wrote.

In response to AP Dhillon's act of smashing a guitar, Meenu Panchal also wrote, ¡°I feel it¡¯s a disrespect! I don¡¯t care about the logic behind this but ¡°rozi roti ki izzat karna¡± can never go out of fashion.¡±
For the unversed, Diljit Dosanjh made history last year when he performed at Coachella, becoming the first musician from Punjab to do so.
