In an interview, Trivedi¡¯s granddaughter spilled the beans on the fact that he was working on a play with Paresh Rawal when he was offered the part of Raavan.
Talking to Mirror online, she confirmed,
¡°When Ramanand Sagar told him that he will be playing Ravan. Nana earlier rejected it because he was committed to the play. But then, it was Paresh Rawal Ji himself who convinced Nana that it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and that he should not give it a miss. He convinced and motivated him to take up the role and only then did he agree to do it.¡±
The show gave Trivedi popularity, stability, and love. His granddaughter further added that people even touched his feet and would come to greet him with respect.
She further said that despite Raavan being a negative character, people looked up to him. A couple even invited him to visit them and meet their newly-born but he could not. But he did suggest them to name their daughter Vaidehi and they eventually did! Well, everything falls in place the way it is always meant to be, right?
