Avika Gor shares harrowing experience of being harassed twice by her own bodyguard: 'Touched me from behind...'
The actress revealed that despite the first incident, she initially gave the bodyguard the benefit of the doubt. However, when it happened again, Avika took action. "I remember when it was about to happen for the second time. And this time, I held the hand. What can be done? They donĄ¯t know how to speak English or Hindi, so I let it go. What more could I do?"
Avika Gor, known for her roles in 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Sasural Simar Ka', recently spoke out about a distressing ordeal she faced with her own bodyguard. In an interview, Avika recounted how she was subjected to sexual harassment not once but twice by the person entrusted with her safety.

"In India, it happens, but this has happened a lot with me in Kazakhstan," Avika disclosed to The Male Feminist. "There are bodyguards with you always, but there is always someone who wants to act smart. I remember that someone touched me from behind. When I turned around, there was no one else but my bodyguard."

"My mother told me to do most things on my own, which involved being touched, like putting the microphone on. She told me to let others touch me only for things that canĄ¯t be done by myself, like make-up."
The incident underscores the ongoing challenges women face regarding their safety, both in India and globally. Avika's courage in speaking out highlights the need for greater awareness and action to ensure women can live without fear of harassment or violation.
