In just three months, about 5,100 people have died of coronavirus. About 139,000 cases of Covid-19 have been reported. Two deaths in India have been confirmed as 82 people have contracted the deadly virus.

#2 While the theatres in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Kerela remained shut, Angrezi Medium could only mint Rs 4.03 crores on first day of its release.

#3 After Sooryavashi, release date of Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Toofaan have also been pushed further.
In the interest of both films and to ensure an ideal theatrical release, #AdityaChopra & @ritesh_sid have decided to release their films on different dates. YRF will release #JayeshbhaiJordaar on 2nd October and @excelmovies will release #Toofaan on 18th September 2020.

#4 IIFA awards postponed, Zee Cine Awards 2020 took place with no live audience
After IIFA awards which were supposed to take place in Indore, Zee Cine Awards ceremony took place in a closed hall with limited celebs and with no audience. It will be telecasted as pre-recorded ceremony.
"As a measure of precaution on account of the continuing concern over the Covid-19, the ceremony for Zee's annual film awards property - Zee Cine Awards 2020 stands cancelled for general public to avoid mass gatherings. Instead, the awards will now be shot as a televised event. We would like to assure the fans who had purchased tickets for the event through our associates and partners that they will be refunded at the earliest. Our viewers and fans can now look forward to catching their favourite Bollywood celebrities during the telecast on March 28 on Zee TV and Zee Cinema. Additionally, viewers can also catch these awards before TV on Zee5," a statement issued by Zee TV and Zee Cinema read.
