'I'm An SRKian': Ayushmann Khurrana Responds To A Fan Slamming Pathaan To Praise An Action Hero

Love him or hate him but one cannot ignore the fact that the Pathaan actor Shah Rukh Khan has influenced a lot of young minds including that of some celebs too. From Rajkummar Rao to Kartik Aaryan, a few Bollywood actors have openly adored the ¡®King Khan¡¯ and have shared multiple anecdotes too.

Actor Ayushamann Khurrana is one such fanboy of Shah Rukh Khan.

Khurrana¡¯s film An Action Hero was recently released on OTT and fans have been showering love for it much more than they did while the film was in theatres. The actor has been responding to fans¡¯ love and one of a tweet in the same respect appreciated Ayushmann¡¯s film but at the cost of criticising SRK¡¯s Pathaan.

The tweet that intended to appreciate Khurrana¡¯s film read, ¡°Screw Pathan, watch Action Hero on Netflix! The story, dialogues, background music, the subtle middle finger shown to Indian news channels and their crass reporting, @ayushmannk has KILLED it! But my fav was the guy mimicking Arnab.¡±

Ayushmann reacted to the Twitterati by saying, ¡°Thanks for loving An Action Hero. Could¡¯ve avoided the first line though I¡¯m an SRKian!¡±

For the unversed, An Action Hero is an Anirudh Iyer directorial which saw its theatrical release on December 2. This dark comedy-cum-action thriller also featured Jaideep Ahlawat, Harsh Chhaya, and Neeraj Madhav, along with a cameo from Akshay Kumar. The film is now available on Netflix.

On the other hand, Pathaan continues to earn accolades and appreciation from across the globe.

The SRK film also starred Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles alongside a cameo of Salman Khan. Up next in his kitty, SRK has Atlee¡¯s Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani¡¯s Dunki where he stars opposite Taapsee Pannu. Both films are eyeing a 2023 release.
