#AllEyesOnBangladeshHindus trends, Bollywood stars who posted 'All eyes on Rafah' slammed for their silence
Bollywood celebrities who supported the All Eyes on Rafah campaign are now under fire for their silence on the ongoing crisis in Bangladesh, where violent protests have led to numerous deaths and the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. #AllEyesOnBangladeshHindus is trending.
Months ago in May, a lot of Bollywood celebrities and influencers including Anurag Kashyap, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Triptii Dimri among others shared a social media post that read 'All eyes on Rafah' in solidarity with Palestine after the Israeli strike on Rafah. Now that Bangladesh is experiencing severe turmoil amid violent student protests killing many, and forcing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign and flee the country, only a few B-town stars have reacted. Bollywood's silence has sparked outrage on X (formerly called Twitter) and the hashtag 'All Eyes On Bangladesh Hindus' is now trending.
From Rafah to Bangladesh, Bollywood celebs called out for selective activism

Most people slamming the B-town stars are sharing a video of a Hindu woman pleading for safety highlighting the condition of minorities in the country. In the video, she reveals how her house has been vandalised and she is being asked to leave the country and go to India. "Rafah was 4,000 kms away. Bangladesh is next door. Where are you today Bollywood?" one of the users wrote. "Why are Bollywood¡¯s eyes closed now?" asked another user. "Reportedly Over 500 Hindus have been killed, 100s of Hindu women r@ped, and Dozens of Hindu temples have been burnt in Bangladesh. Ab kisi Bollywood celeb ki story or tweet nahi aane wale kya?" read another tweet.

Meanwhile, some celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor and Hansal Mehta among other have reacted to the situation in Bangladesh. While Sonam called the protests that have killed many "terrible" and urged people to pray for the country, Kangana Ranaut said that no one is safe in Muslim countries not even the Muslims. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta on the other hand remembered how his film Faraaz was banned in the country and criticised Sheikh Hasina's authoritarian rule.
For the unversed, the protests in Bangladesh began after students protested against the quota system that reserves 30 percent jobs in government jobs for families of veterans who fought in the 1971 liberation war. After almost a month, the protests escalated into a campaign that sought the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Eventually, she resigned and fleed the country amid growing violence.
