Bollywood Comes Out In Support Of JNU: Celebs Get Emotional, Use Poetry To Condemn Violence
Some masked men armed with iron rods and sledgehammers attacked the students and teachers inside the JNU campus. Bollywood stars participated in the demonstration to condemn the attack. Celebrities who participated include Swara Bhasker, Sudhir Mishra and Rekha Bhardwaj.
How safe do you feel in the country? Just imagine this - if goons can enter a prestigious institute of the capital of the nation, what about the safety of students in smaller towns?
At around 6:30 pm on Sunday, some "masked men" armed with iron rods and sledgehammers attacked the students and teachers inside the campus.
'Enough is enough', 'Horrifying, 'heartbreaking' and 'barbaric', that's how people in the film industry described the violence that took place a couple of days ago. And to demand justice, safety and punishment for those who attacked, hundreds of people including Bollywood stars participated in the demonstration to condemn the attack.
Celebrities who participated include Swara Bhasker, Sudhir Mishra, Rekha Bhardwaj, Anubhav Sinha, Dia Mirza, Rahul Dholakia, Ali Fazal, Neeraj Ghaywan, Reema Kagti, Hansal Mehta, Vikramaditya Motwane, Saurabh Shukla, Rajkumar Gupta.
They all joined hands, used poetry and music to show solidarity with JNU.

Some celebrities including Vishal Bhardwaj used poetry to condemn the attacks. Neeraj Ghaywan shared a video of Vishal Bhardwaj reciting a poetry to voice his dissent.
