Boney Kapoor, Khushi-Janhvi Attend National Film Awards Rehearsal, Will Collect Sridevi's Award
Sridevi&rsquos daughters Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor along with their dad Boney are already in Delhi and attended the rehearsals for National Film Awards yesterday at Vigyan Bhawan. Today the family will be accepting National Film Award for Best Actress on behalf of late actor Sridevi. Presenting the awards will be President Ram Nath Kovind and Union minister for Information & Broadcasting Smriti Irani.
Various film personalities are in Delhi to attend the National Film Awards ceremony. Late actor Sridevi¡¯s daughters Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor, along with their dad Boney are already in Delhi and attended the rehearsals for National Film Awards yesterday at Vigyan Bhawan.
Today, the family will be accepting National Film Award for Best Actress on behalf of late actor Sridevi. Presenting the awards will be President Ram Nath Kovind, Union minister for Information & Broadcasting Smriti Irani and minister of state Rajyavardhan Rathore.
The rehearsal of the presentation ceremony on Wednesday and Smriti Irani met everyone who was present.
Several reports floating on the internet claim that President Kovind will present only 11 of 137 awards, due to his packed schedule and the remaining awards will be conferred by Irani and Rathore.
Apart from late actor Sridevi, who will be honoured with the Best Actress Award for her performance in Mom, Vinod Khanna too will be posthumously awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
The pictures of Sridevi's family attending the rehearsal are all over the internet and the family looked visibly emotional.
Baahubali The Conclusion will be awarded the Best Popular Film award and Riddhi Sen will be conferred with the best actor award for his Bengali film Nagarkirtan. These awards were announced on April 13 by a 10-member jury and the team was headed by filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.
