Rajamouli, in an old interview, said he has a dream of making a movie based on the Hindu ancient epic Mahabharata. He said it would take him a year just to read Mahabharata versions and that at present he can only assume that it would be a 10-part film. This film is expected to differ from the familiar understanding of the story and its characters.
