You¡¯d be lying if you said you are not a fan of the Indian TV show CID! During its 20-year-long run, people across age groups sat together every night to watch this police procedural drama. Now, the show is all set to return with a second edition after a massive demand from audiences over the past few years. Last aired in 2018, CID will now hit the small screen this Christmas with a fresh new take on crime.

While the OG trio of ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam), Sr Inspector Daya (Dayanand Shetty), and Sr Inspector Abhijit (Aditya Shrivastava) are confirmed to return, a fresh set of cast will join this season. As the audiences await an official promo on October 26, they have already filled the internet with hilarious memes and words of nostalgia.

Several users also got emotional as they talked about the absence of Dinesh Phadnis in the upcoming edition. For those who don¡¯t know, Dinesh played the iconic character of Inspector Fredricks in CID and unfortunately passed away due to liver damage on December 5, 2023.
