The family realised that Sunil was missing after he became unresponsive to calls for several hours while travelling to Haridwar for an event. The comedian returned to Mumbai the next day but has now shared shocking details on where he was. He has revealed that he was kidnapped and even asked for a ransom of around Rs 8 lakh.

Sunil said when he arrived at the venue, he was taken to some place. Sunil soon realised that something was wrong at that moment. Sunil further added the kidnappers demanded lakhs from him and threatened him for life.
Sunil shared that after getting the amount asked, basically the ransom, the kidnappers arranged a flight for him to come back to Mumbai. The comedian said, ¡°They blindfolded me, gave me Rs 20,000 for expenses, and instructed me to leave after 10¨C12 minutes. Once I removed the blindfold, I found myself near the airport.¡±
