Dalit Man Forced To Rub Nose In Temple For Criticising 'The Kashmir Files'; 7 People Arrested
A Dalit man was forced to rub his nose on temple platform after he tweeted why Jai Bhim was not made tax free like The Kashmir Files. Here's what happened.
Eleven people have been booked for forcing a 32-year-old Dalit man to rub his nose on a temple platform over his post about Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files. Seven of those booked have been arrested already. The incident took place in Rajasthan¡¯s Alwar district.
In his facebook post, thirty-two-year-old Rajesh Kumar Meghwal said, he questioned why movies like Jai Bhim that showcase
atrocities against Dalits and other communities aren't made tax free. He also mentioned that the movie that shows atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits has been made tax-free.
After he posted this, people started posting religious slogans like 'Jai Shree Ram' and 'Jai Shree Krishna' in the comments. He said that many even threatened him and pressured him to apologise.
"Villagers and a former sarpanch started to mount pressure on me to apologise at the village temple. They assured me that I will not be roughed up. But they started heckling me and forced me to rub my nose at the platform of the temple against my wishes," he told The Indian Express.
Following this incident, he lodged an FIR at Behror police station against 11 people under sections 143 (punishment for unlawful assembly), 342 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC and relevant sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities Act).

In another incident, the Madhya Pradesh government has said that it will send a notice to IAS officer Niyaz Khan over his controversial tweets on Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files.
Confirming the same, Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, "I have seen Khan's tweets. This is a serious issue...he is crossing and violating the lakshman rekha (limit) set for (government) officials...the state government will issue a show-cause notice to him and seek his reply".
The tweets in question are from IAS officer Niyaz Khan, who is a deputy secretary with the MP Public Works Department (PWD). In his tweets, he said the profits of the movie should be donated for education and the construction of homes of Brahmin children in Kashmir.
He also urged the makers to make another film on "killings of a large number of Muslims across several states."
