¡®I Miss You,¡¯ Deepika Padukone Remembers Piku Co-Star Irrfan Khan As Their Film Clocks 8 Years
Actress Deepika Padukone remembers her Piku co-star Irrfan Khan as the cult classic completes eight years of its release.
Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan starrer Piku was one of the cult classics that remain fresh in our hearts forever. The Shoojit Sircar directorial recently completed 8 years and the Padmaavat actress took to her social media handles to recall the golden days of creating that film.
Deepika walked down memory lane and shared a hilarious still from the film that featured the trio being goofy like always.
The actress captioned the post, ¡°It¡¯s been 8 years since this gem of a movie released with these 2 very special people. And if I could relive this experience all over again, I¡¯d do it in a heartbeat. @irrfan, I miss you! @amitabhbachchan , @sircarshoojit & @juhic3 I love you! To everyone who made this film possible, thank you for your energy. #Piku¡±
Several users took to her comment section and showered their love for this slice-of-life film. One user wrote, ¡°I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go. But what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye. - Irrfan.¡± Another said, ¡°Piku is indeed a gem of a movie and will always have a special place in my heart.¡± Third quoted, ¡°This movie will always remain my comfort watch, the best.¡±
The film was released back in 2015 and the same year Irrfan Khan shared that he always wanted to do a film like Piku.
Irrfan quoted as per PTI, ¡°It is a very entertaining and engaging film and love is a very important part of this story. It was Shoojit¡¯s trust in me that he gave me a romantic lead. I was longing to do something like this. I also wanted to do comedy. Coincidently, I got both these elements in Piku.¡±

It was in 2020 that the country lost Paan Singh Tomar actor when he lost his battle with cancer. The same year itself Deepika in a now-deleted post remembered Irrfan. Sharing a picture that featured her with Irrfan and director Shoojit she shared the lyrics of the song Lamhe Guzar Gaye.
Last year at an event, Deepika went emotional and remembered the film at an event by saying, ¡°There was something very special about the energy in that film. And that¡¯s one of the movies that keep coming up in conversations... The stage of life that I am at now, seems to be my most favourite (character).¡±
