Lipstick Under My Burkha won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature Film at the Festival International de Films de Femmes in France. The film failed to get a clearance from Indias censor board but guess what The film is leaving its mark all over the world.
Despite its continuous ban in India (Thanks to our Censor board), Lipstick Under My Burkha and its achievements globally continue to prove that the film is brilliant in every sense of the word. Out of many accolades and awards that the film has already bagged include Spirit of Asia Prize and the Oxfam Award for Best Film on Gender Equality.

Even when the film is on a winning spree, we wonder if Indian censor Board will ever pass it. Sigh.
